Laura- That's a good point about picking exercise you like and - tap dancing- what a great fun idea. Having a buddy is also very effective to help stick to it. My neighbor and I seem to take turns dragging each other out of our houses for a walk. The time flies by as we walk and talk. At the end we are always amazed at how much more energized and relaxed we feel.

Food eaten over the kitchen sink has calories!!? Next you'll be telling me that the calories don't fall out of broken chocolate!

The one thing you didn't mention about exercise is, make sure you enjoy doing it. If you resolve to jog round the block and hate jogging you're not going to stick with it for very long. However, if you love taking long walks with friends, that's the one to go for (minus the coffee and muffin at the end)

A few years ago I took up tap dancing which is a lot more energetic than it sounds. Great impact exercise, no danger of overdoing it on the first lesson as you need to build up slowly AND the best laugh you can possibly imagine. In my head I was Ginger Rodgers but my feet were more The Incredible Hulk. Plus, you can always hammer out a few time steps in the kitchen when your favourite tune comes on the radio. Much recommended.
